The DrudgeReport.com’s main title link states ‘THE TERRORISTS HAVE WON’. I think about that statement as I prepare to travel for Thanksgiving. My travel plans include a flight with my family. As most of you are aware the heightened security has a lot of people up in arms about privacy, inconvenience, delays and the safety of the new full body scanners. It’s been weighing on my mind as well. How will I react if I feel a pat down search of my wife and/or child went a little too far? Are the full body scanners safe? Is radiation a concern? How uncomfortable will I or more importantly my family feel about an airport worker seeing a full body naked image of them? There are many questions on this issue, including the question, should the terrorists claim a victory. They may be winning a battle but they will not win the war. What are your thoughts?

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
These words used to mean something, but lately its been hard to feel anything like what those words stand for.
With unemployment at an all time high, socialized healthcare and a Democrat run government, things have never been worse.
But all is not lost!!
Get out and vote for Conservatism tomorrow. Choose a candidate that best represents what this country was founded on. Then hold them accountable. Its up to the American people to fix what’s wrong with our current situation.

A time for choosing
The following is a video of a speech Ronald Reagan gave in 1964. It’s amazing how relevant that speech is today. The speech begins talking about Peace and Prosperity. He talks about how no nation has ever survived a tax burden of one third it’s national income. How the government continues to spend more than it takes in and how we’ve raised the debt limit. Sound familiar.
Here’s some excerpts from the speech that I feel are what this election and upcoming elections are all about. (It begins at the 2:58 mark in the video)
This election is about:
“If we still know the freedoms that were intended for us by the founding fathers”.
“Whether we believe in our capacity for self government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves”.
That is what this election is all about. There are elected officials out there that think they are smarter then the American people and that they have the right and duty to tell us what to do. There are also some running for office that believe in the American people and want to represent us and give us back our freedom to make our own choices in life. I vote for us, the American people.

“There is no such thing as a left or right there is only an up or down. Man’s own old dream the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism and regardless of sincerity, their humanitarianism motives those who would trade or freedom for security have embarked on this downward course”.

Just a thought….
Here’s a thought, shouldn’t the President of the United States spend his time on fixing the economy and creating jobs for struggling Americans instead of flying around and campaigning for Democrats on the taxpayers dime.
Does it bother anyone that our tax dollars are paying for a jumbo, gas guzzling jet to fly around the country just to try to get a stimulus backing, healthcare destroying, overspending, corrupt politician elected to an office that’s destroying what America stands for.
Ask yourself if you’re happy with what your elected officials have done so far, and then realize that you’re paying to get them elected.

Get Ready for November
Our Founders believed in limited government and less taxes. Come this November, we should remind ourselves of these qualities that built this great nation.
Look to your local candidates and determine which ones best represent these beliefs and vote them in.
But don’t stop there!
Hold these politicians accountable for their actions.
George Washington believed that most men were driven by self-interest, and our system does its best to mitigate this, but it is OUR responsibility to make sure our representatives are acting in our best interest.
So use this November to vote for a person that best represents a conservative point of view, something that’s very different then what we have now. This nation needs to stop its downward spiral into bankruptcy and stop the spending NOW!

Back to basics
I’m hopeful that we are on a path to electing representatives that truly understand the constitution and the brilliance of our founding fathers. The best way to make sure that happens is to educate ourselves on the principles our founding fathers used to set this country on a path to greatness. The first principle states that The Only Reliable Basis for Sound Government and Just Human Relations is Natural Law. The following is an excerpt from the must read book The 5,000-Year Leap
The Law of Nature or Nature’s God is eternal in its basic goodness; it is universal in its application. It is a code of “right reason” from the Creator himself. It cannot be altered. It cannot be repealed. It cannot be abandoned by legislators or the people themselves, even though they may pretend to do so. In Natural Law we are dealing with factors of absolute reality. It is basic in its principles, comprehensible to the human mind, and totally correct and morally right in its general operation.
The founders wanted to build a country of individual freedom. They did not want a tyrannical government. That’s why they based their system on Natural Law. It’s extremely important that we understand that and remind our politicians where we get our freedom from.
A country that believes that their rights come from their government must realize that the government can then just as easily take them away. We are not that country.
That’s why the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence are held so dear to Americans. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

finally some change!
With the tremendous turn out Glenn Beck’s rally saw this past weekend and the plummeting approval rate of the Obama administration, change is just around the corner.
History tends to repeat itself, just look at the Carter administration II we’re seeing now. But the change I’m talking about is the ever increasing voice of true conservatives and history will repeat itself just like the Boston Tea Party served as the catalyst for changing an overtaxed nation, so will November serve as our catalyst to change the direction of this incompetent Presidency.
America has an opportunity to right the wrongs of the past months and we can’t waste it.
We have to elect officials who represent us! We need leaders who will cut spending, lower taxes, minimize gov’t and lead us in the right direction just as our Founders did.
Let’s look to history to teach us that a nation with taxation and no representation is NOT the America the people want!
